Diffusion fludbed furnaces for brass plating lines

A diffusion fluid bed furnace is used in a typical brass plating line where the thermo diffusion of the copper and zinc elements is required.

In this process, the wires pass through a copper and then a zinc electroplating section followed by a rinse and finally an air dryer prior to entering the diffusion furnace. Within the fluid bed furnace the wires undergo a thermo diffusion of the elements at a temperature range between
500° C to 600° C. this ensures the homogenous transformation of the elements into a brass coating.

The wires are normally heated tor 10 to 40 seconds depending upon their diameter and the coating thickness applied.
