Guida Impianti doubles its footprint in Central America: second slitting line delivered

Guida Impianti doubles its footprint in Central America: second slitting line delivered

Central America continues to be an area of strong growth for Guida Impianti as the company secures a new, second order from a major customer in the region. Coming just over two years after the delivery of the first slitting line, this project is a clear sign of the client's continued trust.

In a highly competitive international market, the customer once again chose Guida after experiencing the performance of the first installation firsthand, recognizing the company's strengths in productivity, reliability, finished product quality, and after-sales support.

A second order, a confirmation of value

In a relatively short time, Guida built a first 1,550 mm line for thicknesses up to 3.2 mm for the same customer, complete with an automatic packaging system. A second system with the same production specifications has now been commissioned — this time without the packaging system.

The new installation is designed to minimize manual operator intervention and ensure high levels of productivity and continuity. Process automation makes it possible to optimize the line management while improving the quality of the finished product.

Technology and flexibility for a wide range of metals

Coil slitting lines are one of Guida's flagship products, engineered to process a wide range of materials, including hot- and cold-rolled steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, pickled and oiled steel, as well as aluminum and light alloys.

The systems can be configured to meet a variety of production needs, also handling high-performance materials such as high-strength steels, hardened steels, and mirror-finish stainless steel, all while maintaining high quality standards.

Automation and productivity at the core

A key strength of Guida’s solutions is the level of automation built into its lines. Thanks to in-house developed components and advanced process control systems, it’s possible to optimize every stage of processing.

The machines can be outfitted with automatic systems for:

  • strapping management;
  • dimensional control;
  • surface quality inspection;
  • strip oiling;
  • automatic blade changeover.

Expansion in the North and Central American markets

This new order confirms Guida's strong positioning in the American markets and the growing interest in technologies that combine automation, productivity, and reliability. For the Italy-based company, the project represents not only a commercial achievement but, above all, proof that technological quality, technical support, and after-sales service remain decisive factors in the investment decisions of international customers.
