MTF20: higher productivity and new inkjet printing for TIG rods

MTF20: higher productivity and new inkjet printing for TIG rods

Higher productivity, greater flexibility, and expanded marking capabilities. With the latest upgrades to the MTF20, Cometo further enhances its automated solution for TIG rod production. The machine now reaches speeds of up to 100 rods per minute, while a new optional inkjet printing system adds advanced product identification and traceability capabilities.

Up to 100 TIG rods per minute with the IM60 system

Thanks to upgrades to both the mechanical components and the control software, the MTF20 equipped with the IM60 automatic bundling system now achieves a production capacity of up to 100 TIG rods per minute, compared to the previous 80. This 25% increase enables manufacturers to boost productivity without changing the existing plant layout.

The MTF20 offers the versatility required for producing TIG rods in aluminum, bronze, stainless steel, and carbon steel, while delivering higher throughput through an optimized machine cycle.

The IM60 automatic bundling system collects the rods in the accumulation cradle and automatically creates bundles of the preset weight, ready for the next packaging stage. With the latest improvements, manufacturers can take full advantage of the automated process and achieve production rates of up to 100 rods per minute under optimal operating conditions.

New optional inkjet printing system

Another key enhancement is the optional inkjet printer for direct rod marking.

The system produces sharp, highly legible markings directly on the rod surface using any character available on a standard PC keyboard. The printed information can also be repeated multiple times along the rod, with the spacing between markings freely adjustable to meet production, identification, or traceability requirements.

To ensure the highest print quality, the inkjet marking system operates at production speeds of up to 50 rods per minute.

This option gives manufacturers greater flexibility by allowing them to print product codes, batch identifiers, specifications, or other custom information directly onto the rods with excellent readability.

Greater efficiency and enhanced flexibility

With higher production speeds and the introduction of optional inkjet printing, the MTF20 offers TIG rod manufacturers an even more productive and flexible solution for automated production and product identification.
