Aotian Wire hosts international customers to strengthen technical cooperation

Focus on automotive fasteners, process control and cost efficiency
Aotian Wire recently welcomed international customers to its production facilities, confirming its role as a reliable partner for CHQ and low-carbon wire supply in demanding industrial applications.
A long-standing customer from Spain visited the plant to further consolidate cooperation. The company, active in the production of non-standard automotive components and high-strength fasteners (classes 10.9 and 12.9), has been sourcing CHQ grades such as 10B21, 10B33 and 40Cr from Aotian for several years.
During the visit, particular attention was given to Aotian’s production organization and digitalized process control. The customer appreciated the possibility to monitor production progress in real time, improving transparency and traceability across the manufacturing cycle. The laboratory facilities were also a key point of interest, with an exchange of know-how on quality control and testing procedures.
In addition, discussions addressed the impact of the EU CBAM regulation. Aotian confirmed ongoing collaboration with upstream steel mills to advance CBAM-related certification, with concrete progress already achieved.
South Korean partner increases volumes and technical exchange
A second visit involved a South Korean wire drawing company, a relatively new partner that started cooperation with Aotian in 2025. Operating in a high-cost production environment, the company is increasingly focusing on strategic sourcing to remain competitive.
After six months of collaboration, the customer reported strong satisfaction with both product quality and cost performance. Compared to domestic production, sourcing from Aotian enables more competitive positioning and improved margins.
The company is currently purchasing around 300 tons per month of low-carbon grades, including SWRCH10A, SWRCH18A and SWRCH22A, with plans to further increase volumes during the year.
During the plant tour, particular interest was shown in Aotian’s fully automatic pickling and phosphating line, highlighting the importance of consistent surface treatment for downstream cold forming and drawing operations. The visit also opened the door to further technical cooperation, including a planned exchange visit to South Korea.
